In recent times, the word 'ergonomics' has become part of office terminology. Medical chairs and dental chairs also benefit from using correct ergonomics. Clean room chairs and ESD chairs are also on the market; these chairs come with height adjustable options as well as seat pan and back option, plus they have necessary inflatable lumbar support and footrest options. Ergonomic comfort is also very important because it helps keep employees alert. Ergonomic intensive-use chairs or seating, also known as 24/7 seating, are usually used for dispatch room security monitoring areas, control rooms, and 911 emergency dispatch offices.
Ergonomic executive office chairs or seating, also called managers' chairs, are usually found with a higher back and come with leather or stitched leather upholstery. The ergonomic intensive-use chairs are very durable and especially need to be ergonomic in design, because workers are typically sitting for many hours. And the executive chairs usually have upholstered back rests and upholstered arms.
The hydraulic seat height adjustment allows the user to adjust the chair properly so feet can rest on the floor or footrest and the upper body is properly aligned with the computer monitor, keyboard and mouse. The seat should always extend at least one inch from either side of the hips for optimum comfort because insufficient hip room can make you sit too far forward and not get enough support for the thighs. Adjustable height and width are absolutely necessary when buying a chair that has armrests. The armrests should be made of a soft material and should be at least 2" wide to provide an adequate surface area.
Some of the ergonomic chair seat pans easily adjust for either a forward or backward tilt. You can use an ergonomic chair with casters and a 5-point base to ease movement and minimize possible tipping. A good ergonomic chair or office chair will recline and lock into several different positions.
The backrest of the chair should also have angle, in-out and height adjustments to achieve the proper spinal alignment; the angle adjustment allows the user to adjust the angle of the backrest in relation to the seat pan, as opposed to the tilt mechanism, which moves the seat pan with the backrest. The front part of the seat should slope down ever so slightly and allow a fist size gap between the back of the knees and the front edge of the seat pan to reduce pressure on the back of the thighs. The seat pan is the one component of the chair that supports the majority of the user's weight.
Hopefully these ergonomic facts and tips about features and types of ergonomic chairs will help you when shopping for or buying an ergonomic chair online or locally from your office supply store or office furniture store. Many good deals can be found online and at local office furniture consignment and resale shops. And if you can't afford the Cadillac of chairs, the Aeron chair, which starts at about $400, find an ergonomic chair or ergonomic office chair that is a true ergonomic chair, not the 'ergonomically designed' chair that is generally not totally ergonomic.

Laptop use in pickup trucks is increasing and there is a huge demand for a quality truck laptop mounting solution.
Truck laptop desks attach to the passenger seat bolts, and fits in all the Current trucks including the F-250, F-350, F-450 and the F-550 as well as all the Cheverolet, GMC, Toyota and Nissan. For the majority of adults, their thoughts and therefore actions are in one way or another related to what they perceive others will think of them. We do or do not do something because of what someone else will think of us. It was pointed it out to me that this factor is the single greatest reason why most people stay stuck and do not move forward towards their dreams and ultimate well being. From a personal stand point, this life lesson has been a blessing and yet one that I need to continue to work through. I can now admit, I was, and still am on occasion addicted to having others think well of me.
This particular attachment has cost me in many ways:
- financially - compromised needs in a career situation, - less satisfaction in relationships - not taking care of myself for many years - not saying what needs to be said.
Assuming that you abide by the law and don't intentionally hurt someone or something else, what others think of you is none of your business and totally irrelevant. This is not easy to accept. If you think I am exaggerating, how many of you believe consciously, or maybe even subconsciously, your self worth is tied to your spouse, your job, or to your possessions?
One of my mentors summed it up in the following way, when she put a mirror to me so that I could understand some of my erroneous thinking and way of being. She taught me that Everyone, that means you and me included, are perfect, blessed, full of grace and wonderful right NOW, just as we are. There is NO NEED for acceptance, judgment or criticism from someone else. What actually keeps the fear of being judged by others in place is the self-imposed RIGHT to judge and criticize others.
The thought and said ideas of us being afraid of being judged is just a "front" (for the ego) for the real issue. The real issue is we MUST GIVE UP the self anointed right to JUDGE OTHERS. This is much more difficult to do. I know this as I am working through this and it pops up in unexpected places. People want to remain in this self-crowned position of holding judge, jury and executioner of other people and in so doing, call the same "stuff" back to them. We can speed the letting go of this unhealthy thinking once It comes into our consciousness. We give up one and we get the freedom we all deserve.
There are many aspects to a human being and most often we think of these as needs: love, security, self esteem, recognition, having new experiences and creative expression. Yet in reality these are not needs, these are human haves. We do not have to go searching for these things as we have them inside all of us. These aspects of the human being already exist and we just need to have them awakened and emerge more fully.
When it comes to love, you must love yourself first and only then can you actually love others unconditionally. When you love yourself, you know who you are, you are solid in what you want and can give to others. If you feel you have to get love from others than you will act in a way as to not jeopardize that relationship. You will not feel free to say what needs to be said openly, and honestly, in a kind compassionate way. You end up not challenging spouses, kids, and co-workers to become all they can be. What you end up with are manipulative relationships and much resentment arises.

There are amazing free internet security software products available in any category imaginable. If you select the proper combination of quality free products you will be provided protection as good as or better than that afforded by the purchased alternatives.
You must realize that there is a wide range in the quality and performance of free software, so you need to stick with products that have been tested and have an established track record or at least have been developed by an organization that has previously proven themselves. It is difficult to tell if most internet security products are performing as expected. For example, if a game is not working properly you will be able to immediately tell because the game will not play correctly. In contrast, if a firewall or antivirus program fail to function properly you may not have any idea until long after your computer has been compromised. This certainly is a risk that few of us can afford to take.
I like to think of internet security as a triangle with the three main categories making up the three corners and the secondary categories lying on the lines of the triangle or within the security triangle. The three corners are antivirus, firewall and antispyware. The differentiation between product classes has begun to blur and there are many combination products especially among those sold commercially. To simplify our discussion and allow us to look at a number of unique free products we will look at them as distinctly unique product classes. There is excellent free software to satisfy our triangle concept with this article focusing on a couple of the top products in each category.
There are about 15 free antivirus products that are worth considering with a few other specialized products that also fit best into this antivirus group. My favorite free antivirus product without question is Comodo Antivirus. Comodo is involved in the high end enterprise area of the internet and decided to provide this antivirus product free to help make all consumers safer while online. The bottom line is that Comodo gets a lot of goodwill and free publicity from making such a great product available free of charge. It is a win-win situation! This antivirus product detects and eliminates viruses from desktops and networks, protects with real-time on access scanning, uses proactive heuristic analysis to intercept unknown threats, has host intrusion detection to block malware before it can run, and provides automatic daily updates of virus definitions. The other free antivirus product that I will touch on here is from PC Tools well known for their Spyware Doctor and also Registry Mechanic. In this case there is also a paid version that has direct customer support and faster updates but the two products themselves function the same whether free or paid. PC Tools Antivirus Free Edition provides world-leading protection, with excellent database updates, OnGuard real-time protection and comprehensive system scanning to ensure your system remains safe and virus free. This product is Vista compatible.
There have been many changes in the category of free firewalls with a number of popular free products no longer available and a few new arrivals to take their place. There are about 15 free firewall software products that I feel are worth considering. The two free firewalls that I prefer are Zone Alarm Free Edition which now is Vista compatible and has been a #1 choice for a number of years. It has proven itself as real winner practically defining the firewall class. The other free firewall I would like to mention is the Comodo Firewall, which like their antivirus software mentioned above, is fully functional yet free. The Zone Alarm Firewall is a reliable but basic product that lacks some of the features of their higher-end retail products. This is not to say that there is any type of reliability or quality issue just that it is feature limited. Comodo's firewall on the other hand is in no way a limited feature product in fact it has some of the most sophisticated features of any firewall free or paid! Many reviewers consider it the best software firewall in existence.
There are almost two dozen good free antispyware products available. One feature of antispyware software compared to antivirus and firewall software is that more than one antispyware product can usually be used at the same time. I currently use Windows Defender from Microsoft, Spybot Search and Destroy and Spyware Terminator all running at the same time. They work fine together on my particular system with no performance hit or other problems.
Picking any one product from each of the three primary groups above should give you a more than adequate triangle of internet security protection.
